He’s running free

He’s seen more incarnations over the years on countless album covers, posters, and T-shirts, but today we’re thrilled to take it back to the Eddie that started it all. Our latest Iron Maiden 7″ action figure captures their iconic mascot, Eddie the Head, as he appears on the cover of their 1980 self-titled debut.

Flying in on Ed Force One, this 7″ Eddie perfectly recreates the crude ‘n’ rude cover of that landmark album. Eddie comes loaded with articulation and a knife accessory — as if his face wasn’t enough of a hint to stay away — and make sure you open yours carefully, because the card behind the figure can be used as an album cover backdrop!

Ed lives!

In 1980, Iron Maiden was raw and dangerous and hungry for heavy metal stardom. Likewise, Eddie was a long way from being locked in chains on Piece of Mind or crossing over to The Final Frontier. He hadn’t even been the Phantom of the Opera yet!

Like the band founder Steve Harris in 1980, our man Ed is practically a kid here. His t-shirt’s baggy, and his sneakers are scuffed. Not even as developed as he’d be when Maiden released Killers a year later, self-titled Eddie was a monster unto himself.
