Perhaps the most popular holiday movie ever, A Christmas Story is about as far from "It's a Wonderful Life" as you can get. Ralphie is a simple kid in the 1940s: he gets picked on by the school bully, listens to Little Orphan Annie, and wants a Red Rider BB Gun more than anything in the world. As Christmas draws near, Ralphie appeals to his mom, teacher, and even Santa Claus for his beloved BB gun between getting his mouth washed out with soap and leaving his friend stuck to a metal pole.
