How Long Have You Been A Collector?
As a child I was always an avid collector but I’ve particularly been amassing NECA collectibles since about 2004.
Why Did You Start Collecting?
NECA stood out to me as a collector because I was finally being treated to figures from numerous branches of entertainment that I thought I would never come across. Not only that but certain figures we had already been introduced to in the past were now being perfected by NECA. As a film enthusiast, I found that the Cult Classics line really catered to the type of collection I wanted to assemble. From the moment I picked that first figure up I knew I’d be thrilled to see every subsequent release.
What Was Your First Item?
My first items were the Ghostbusters Slimer and Gozer figures, I then proceeded to get the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man which will forever amaze me due to its massive size and the quality of the sculpt.
Share Any Unique Details About Your Collection
My collection ranges from Gears of War figures to those from cult movies that you wouldn’t expect to see a figure for. I’m currently thrilled with the Nightmare on Elm Street line and was amazed with the Evil Dead II figures. I also try to keep an eye out for Comic Con exclusives and any of NECA’s replica items… I still need that Lancer.
What’s Your Favorite Item?
This will always be a tough question to answer but I’m usually inclined to say that it’s the Shaun of the Dead Winchester Set.
Which NECA Toys Are You Most Anxious For?
There was definitely a feeling of nostalgia when I learned that NECA would be releasing an E.T. line so I’m definitely anticipating it.
